MASTER CLASS (Sep 12 - Sep 27 2008)
Harriet DeVeto stars in Terrence Mcnally's drama about the incomparable opera star Maria Callas, who basks in her own glory, gossips about the opera world, and examines the heights and depths of her own career to discover the sacrifices we make in the name of art.
GUYS & DOLLS in Concert (Oct 3 - Oct 5 2008)
A special 'one weekend only' collaboration between CVLT and the Chagrin Light Orchestra, featuring the music of Frank Loesser's quintessential Broadway show, presented in an un-staged concert style featuring the 40+ instruement ensemble. Directed by Don Edelman and Stephen Eva.
DURANG, DURANG (Oct 10 - Oct 25 2008) at The River Street Playhouse, 56 River St.
A series of one-act comedies from silly, funny, over-the-top playwright Christopher Durang. Directed by Jackie Cassara.
THE WIZARD OF OZ (Nov 21 - Dec 20 2008)
The perennial musical about Dorothy from Kansas returns to the CVLT stage for the holiday season, with the well loved songs of Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg.
THE EIGHT: REINDEER MONOLOGUES (Nov 28 - Dec 13 2008) at The River Street Playhouse, 56 River St.
Scandal erupts at the North Pole when one of Santa's eight tiny reindeer accuses him of sexual harassment in Jeff Goode's dark, dark Christmas comedy.
DOUBT, A PARABLE (Jan 16 - Feb 7 2009)
The 2005 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award Winning drama by John Patrick Shanley, in which a Catholic school principal takes on a young priest she suspects of improper relations with a male student. Directed by Don Edelman.
EXONERATED (Feb 20 - Mar 7 2009) at The River Street Playhouse, 56 River St.
Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen's 2003 Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle winner telling the true stories of six wrongfully convicted survivors of death row in their own words.
INCORRUPTIBLE (Mar 20 - Apr 11 2009)
Michael Hollinger's farce, set in 13th Century France, sheds the light of comedy on the Dark Ages, as a group of destitute monks go to extremes while trying to save their abbey before the Papal visit.
DUCK HUNTER SHOOTS ANGEL (Apr 24 - May 16 2009)
In Mitch Albom's uproarious redemption tale, two bumbling Alabama brothers think they've accidentally shot down an angel in a swamp. Love, sibling rivalry, the media, race and culture get tangled in the chase to find the fallen angel.
PERFECT WEDDING (Jun 5 - Jun 27 2009)
Marital bliss is threatened when a groom wakes on the morning of his wedding to discover a strange woman in his bed. When the bride, her mother, the best man, and the best man's girlfriend arive, the crisis reaches hilarious levels. Directed by Barbara L. Rhoades.
ONE ACT PLAYS featuring the Shields Players (Jul 3 - Jul 18 2009) at The River Street Playhouse, 56 River St.
The Shields Players, our young adult acting troupe featuring highschool and college thespians, will perform an evening of short plays to be selected and directed by the participants.
HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL ON STAGE! (Jul 24 - Aug 22 2009)
Based on the Disney Channel Original Movie, High School Musical is the wildly popular show about the Jocks, Brainiacs and thespians of East High dealing with love, friendships and the big school play.
