The Tony Award-nominated play by Matthew Barber is based on the 1922 novel by Elizabeth von Arnim, which was also an acclaimed 1992 film and Broadway musical.

Enchanted April is the story of four unlikely companions in 1920s England who come together to share a secluded castle in Italy on holiday. The women are strangers when the play begins, and of decidedly different personalities - a caged free spirit in her husband's shadow, a judgemental and pious (and also unhappy) wife, a society beauty tired of gold-digging suitors, and a harsh Victorian widow. Through the romantic comedy and their striving against the tyranny of men, there is plenty of charm and redemption to be found!
