About the Play
Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry… and your doctor will prescribe Prozac.
The CVLT Women's Committee is pleased to present this special one-night-only performance by celebrated actor and motivational speaker Mary Faktor. Mary will perform her smash-hit, one-woman show The Six Ages of Woman, which chronicles the life of "Vicki" through hilarious phone conversations with her best friend "Madge." Originally written in the 1980s, the show has been continually updated to keep up with the times.
Although you never see Vicki's husband, children or best friend, by the end of the hour-and-fifteen-minute show, you'll know them all quite intimately. Watch time pass before your eyes as Vicki changes from starry-eyed teenager discovering love, to newly wed bride full of romantic dreams, to expectant mother anticipating the joys of parenthood, to frenzied housewife with over-active toddlers, to menopausal woman reentering the workforce, to grandmother beginning her retirement years. You will likely see a part of yourself during some phase of Vicki's metamorphosis, and you will laugh at yourself while doing so.
Featured on TV8 and Channel 3's "Today in Cleveland," The Six Ages of Woman has delighted audiences of 20 to 2,000 in theatres, party centers, corporate banquets, cruiselines, churches, and comedy clubs nationwide.
And don't let the title fool you! The Six Ages of Woman is also immensely popular with male audience members. The universal humor of love, marriage, kids, and work appeals to men and women alike. Underlining the comedy is a message of positive growth that benefits all who see the show.
