About the Play

CVLT and the Chagrin Falls Studio Orchestra invite you "to dream the Impossible Dream".

Director: Don Edelman
Musical Director / Conductor: Stephen Eva

Following on last year's highly successful Guys & Dolls concert, Steve Eva and Don Edelman team up again to bring you a special one-weekend-only production of Man of La Mancha, featuring the 27-piece Chagrin Falls Studio Orchestra on stage.

A reception will be held following the Sunday performance.
Complimentary wine will be served during intermission at all performances.

Set in the time of the Spanish Inquisition, La Mancha is the story of a knight who embarks on a romantic and noble journey to win the heart of a good woman and to capture “The Impossible Dream.” Based on Miguel de Cervantes’ classic book “Don Quixote,” “Man of La Mancha” has been deemed as one of the all-time great successes of American stage. Dale Wasserman wrote the stage play script and was quickly persuaded by his colleagues to rewrite it as a musical. Mitch Leigh and Joe Darion provided the music and lyrics, and soon the show made a nearly six-year Broadway run. The musical received five Tony Awards with one each to the composer, lyricist, director and Richard Kiley, who played the leading role.
