About the Play

Sometimes non-profit arts fundraising events can be absolute murder...

When a man who recently arrived in Chagrin Falls turns up dead on the bank of the river, it's up to Inspector Gotcha, Detective Ketchum, and you to find out who he was and what happened to him!

Law & Order: CVLT is the title of this year's Murder By The Falls fundraising event, with a story centering on the big plans of the real-life Chagrin Foundation for Arts & Culture. The Foundation intends to return the Town Hall to its former glory and turn River Street into an arts and culture district similar to the famous Chautauqua, NY. The murder victim is just one of many people hoping to make their mark on the Village when the Foundation puts its plans into action.

Your $45 ticket, part of which is a donation to CVLT that helps offset the 78th Season costs, gets you a full evening of entertainment (times after event starts are approximate):

    Andrew Rothman & Michelle Kaiser
  • 7:15 PM - Check-in reception at CVLT with hors d'oeuvres and beer/wine cash bar
  • 8:00 PM - Act I of Law & Order: CVLT
  • 8:45 PM - Audience members leave the theatre in teams of eight to search the Village for clues which have been hidden in the store windows. Live actors will be stationed on the street for audience members to interview regarding their relationships with the 'suspects'.
  • 9:15 PM - The audience returns to the Township Hall for dessert and coffee, and to complete scoring sheets with their guesses as to the killer's identity, motive, and methods.
  • 10:00 PM - Act II of Law & Order: CVLT, in which the killer is revealed, followed by awards to the winning team(s).

Murder By The Falls is a hot-ticket event for all ages, but seating is limited and there are only two performances! Make your reservations by September 3rd!
